Week 2: Keep On Praying

1. Keep On Praying

The Bible speaks about a great war in the heavenlies. (Revelation 12) Daniel was fasting and praying for 21 days when an angel appeared to him and said he came at the sound of Daniel’s words. But the angel was delayed in battle. (Daniel 10:12-13)

We must not stop believing God for South Africa. It’s easy to get discouraged when we pray and don’t see any change. We are in a battle, but God will give us victory. Just keep praying and standing.

Therefore, put on the complete armour of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to stand firm [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious]. Ephesians 6:13 (AMP)

2. Battle-Ready

  • Daniel fasted and prayed for three weeks. God might ask you to fast or to pray through the night. Are you ready and alert?

  • When people speak negatively about South Africa, do you agree with them, or do you change the rhetoric? Do you give up, or do you stay faithful and true?

PRAY: Lord, we are standing in prayer for our nation. We are not discouraged because You are fighting for us. Our victory is in You. Amen

3. Power Up

It might sometimes feel that the more we pray, the worse things get. It could appear that the enemy is winning and gaining ground, but if we keep praying, we will not fail. Paul and Silas were put in prison, but they kept on praying and sang spiritual hymns until midnight. Then, suddenly, God broke their shackles and opened the prison doors.

Let’s keep praising and believing God, even when the situation in South Africa looks hopeless. Carry on praying because God will turn the tide.

Rejoice always and delight in your faith; be unceasing and persistent in prayer; in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (AMP)

4. #Pray4SA

Set time aside and pray for God’s supernatural intervention in South Africa.

Power Up

God is calling us back to the House of Prayer. The only way South Africa will see God's supernatural intervention is through prayer. Keep praying, standing, and don’t quit. It’s time to POWER UP!

Then the smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up to God from the hand of the angel. After this, the angel filled the incense container with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth. Thunder roared, lightning flashed, and the earth shook. Revelation 8:4-5 (CEV)
