Week 5: The Power of Prayer

1. The Power of Prayer

Revelation 8 says that when God’s people prayed, an angel lifted those prayers before the Throne of God. The angel put the fiery prayers into an incense holder and threw it to the earth, and God released thunder, lightning, and an earthquake.

If we stay prayerful, God will fight for us. He takes our prayers and breaks the chain of events that the enemy has planned. When we realise what power prayer has, when we pray together, we will see God’s Kingdom advance in South Africa.

Then the smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up to God from the hand of the angel. After this, the angel filled the incense container with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth. Thunder roared, lightning flashed, and the earth shook. Revelation 8:4-5 (CEV)

2. Got The Power?

• Do you pray out of conviction or duty? Or, do you recognise that prayer is powerful—that God sees it and acts on it?

• Are you praying consistently for South Africa with the #Pray4SA family? Identify people who can keep you accountable, so you can keep praying and standing.

PRAY: Heavenly Father, thank You that as we pray for South Africa, You are releasing Your mighty power and destroying the plans of darkness. Amen

3. Power Up

As our prayers rise, God will deal with the things that are hindering His promises. We are impacting South Africa when we stand in agreement and pray collectively as the #Pray4SA family. When we keep praying, the enemy is shaking.

God is releasing a supernatural house of prayer. He is coming through for us with His power and glory. Keep praying!

"Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer… for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” Isaiah 56:7 (NKJV)

4. #Pray4SA

Set time aside and pray for God’s supernatural intervention in South Africa.

Power Up

God is calling us back to the House of Prayer. The only way South Africa will see God's supernatural intervention is through prayer. Keep praying, standing, and don’t quit. It’s time to POWER UP!
